It prevents water, dirt and dust from entering the hardware, and prevents the liquids (usually oil or grease) from leaking out.

Spring energized seals are available with a variety of spring energizers, including V-spring (cantilever), H-spring (helical), C-spring (canted coil spring).

It is related to the seal operating conditions (medium, temperature, pressure), the finish of the shaft bole, surface hardness, eccentricity, thermal expansion, and so on.

A high-pressure seal refers to the process of preventing the leakage or ingress of fluids, gases, or media from a system under high-pressure conditions through specialized sealing technology or seal materials.
